Award winning media agency based in London. My work as a PHP programmer was focused on the new release of the MediaGenie Platform, a UK-based planning and buying system for online media, with over £400 million already traded on the system.
As part of the development team, I helped develop the new version of the application, able to interface with Microsoft Dynamics NAV simultaneously with the existing interfacing with the accounting package DDS.

CBS is one of the biggest online premium content providers in the UK. I was part of several different projects:
Trax is the Industry’s leading market intelligence tool for the video-games industry. I was in charge of upgrading the existing US Trax application to allow regional (UK/Europe and Australia) datasets and interfaces, without losing any of the the existing Global/US functionality.
TV.com and Gamespot UK
Customization of the original US version of both websites, to enable features exclusive to the UK and UK specific data depending on the visitor’s location.
Maintenance and implementation of new features, with the purpose of both improving the user experience and answering CBS editorial and advertisement delivery requirements.

The WTG Alumni is an online private professional networking platform that allows carefully selected professionals to access, share and discuss exclusive knowledge on the Manufacturing and HR industries with other high profile professionals.
As senior programmer and technical leader, I was in charge of the WTG Alumni platform focused on the HR and Manufacturing verticals.
My responsibilities also included suggesting, designing and deploying new features such as webinars, forums and newsletters, along with managing two junior PHP contractors.

I worked for this web based management software for Estate Agencies on two different projects:
Designing and developing a configurable data importing tool that allows Estate-Pro new clients to migrate their existing data from other Real State management systems.
Programming a SOAP Service application developed in PHP5, intended to provide data to a proprietary Microsoft Word plug-in for correspondence management.

I worked remotely on the development of a tool for importing mailing data into a database using PHP5 and MySQL. I worked again on the same project to add tracking functionality to the landing page.
Other projects involved the customization of VirtueMart modules for Joomla to adapt it to the customer requirements.
Neurona Networking

Neurona was a professional networking platform targeted to both the Spanish and Italian markets, until it was acquired by Xing (Open BC) in 2007. I was hired by them directly, as a continuation of my previous work on their platform, both as PHP programmer and responsible of the Lucene based search engine.
I was in charge of fine tuning and maintaining the Lucene based search engine that powered most of the features on the site using Java. I also participated in the development of new front-end features using PHP, both to improve the user experience and keep up with the exponential growth in terms of users and activity to reach the target of 1.000.000 active users.
